2026 Community Play Session #2
Sunday, July 6, 2025 | 5pm to 6pm Holy Apostles and the Mediator Church 260 S 51st St, Philadelphia, PA 19139 Theatre in the X is embarking on our second community created play process! Similar to the process in 2019 - 2021 that resulted in the creation of “The West Philly Meeting,” we’ll be having a series of four Community Play Sessions that will result in an original play created by community input around the prompt of What Now: 2026, examining what America’s 250th anniversary means to our communities. We can't create this piece without YOU! Join us July 6th for our second Community Play Session. We’ll eat, drink, and have discussions that will be the building blocks for the original play we present in spring of 2026! This Community Play Session is presented in partnership with PlayPenn, and will include themes from Harlem Canary/Tokyo Crow by playwright Andrew Saito.
